Wouldn’t it be great to have a fun, emotionally connecting date night while feeling like you did something to change your little piece of the world at the same time? That’s exactly the thinking behind our new Do Good Date Night series:
Couples pitch in and help a local non-profit and then we kick back and enjoy food, drinks and good times. It’s a win-win for everyone.
Do Good Date Night is an opportunity for you and your significant other, family member, or friend to have a fun evening out, while also giving back to the community.
Inspired by my dear friend Kristen Manieri, who is the originator of Do Good Date Night, creating volunteer date nights from Orlando, to Ohio, to Indiana and now in Asheville. A Do Good Date Night incorporates volunteer work in with a date. Some focus on singles incorporating LGBTQ, straight, married with multiple kids – it’s every type of date night.
Asheville has more non-profits than any other city in North Carolina – currently we stand at 450 nonprofit organizations here in Buncombe county alone. Wow! That is incredible but you know what that means? There’s a lot of work to be done and what better way to do it in pairs?
Join us for our Halloween themed event (we will hold one per quarter) in which we will volunteer at Manna Food Bank followed by a fun activity at Highland Brewing.
A $20 ticket per person has everyone meeting at Manna Food Bank on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 6pm. Then at 8pm, all persons head over to Highland Brewing to get their drink and dinner on.
Costume’s are encouraged but PLEASE make sure to wear closed toed shoes and everyone will check in at 6 PM when you arrive at Manna Food Bank so there is no need to bring your ticket. Tickets WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE DOOR but only available ahead of time via this link.
