Big Flavor and Service at Little Bee Thai

Whether you are looking for a place for a first date, a dinner out with your family or lunch with your bestie, Little Bee Thai is perfect for all occasions. From the streets of Thailand to our mouths in Asheville, this ever-changing minimal menu will never bore you.

Located at 45 South French Broad, Little Bee Thai started in Asheville as a gas station restaurant and then a food truck in 2008. This location opened in May 2016. Learn more about the history and story behind the  Little Bee Thai name here on their website.

Although your wait won’t be too long, don’t be shocked if there is a line when you walk in. Towards the front, you’ll find a whiteboard with all their menu items, from Pad Thai to various curries. Each of their simple dishes has strong aromatic components, some even with a spicy edge. Take note of the stars next to some dishes to indicate their spiciness. The menu is small but you’ll have a hard time making a decision, trust us. Right after we arrived, they had just sold out of their special, so get there as early as you can!

Need a place that accommodates allergies? This is the place for you! Just let them know. Their staff is very knowledgeable and if you are gluten-free like me, you can eat most of the menu!

While chef and owner, Took Charernwong is cooking your mouth watering dish, you’ll find her incredible staff and husband, Rick Corcoran in the vibrant dining room, assuring everyone is enjoying their choices and can find a seat to savor each bite of their scrumptious meal. While you dine, be sure to take in the warm open concept with visibility into the kitchen and numerous large windows with colorful photos of Thailand on the walls.

We would recommend getting a few different dishes and sharing with one another. Make sure to ask to try their house-made vegan Thai chili hot sauce, Pritt Nan Pa. We dunked our veggies in the sauce and loved it. Just remember, a little goes a long way!

At our most recent visit, we dined with some young children and the table ate Pad Thai, Mixed Veggie Stir Fry, Woonsen Noodles and Red Curry with chicken and veggies (featured image). Everyone was thrilled and compared the uniqueness of each dish.

Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday-Friday and dinner on Saturday, make sure to visit soon! Learn more on their website and remember, they do takeout too!
